We are the craft group of the local WI but you do not have to be a member of the WI-we welcome anyone interested in crafting together. Our members are multi-talented with a wide range of skills and interests including painting, quilting/sewing, knitting, weaving, paper crafting, flower arranging and jewellery making to name a few.
We are a friendly group and new members are always welcome. Each month we usually have a workshop you can join or you can just come along with your own projects. Over the years we have done some charitable sessions too- heart cushions for breast cancer patients, net vegetable bags -saving the single use plastic bags as well as supporting the Big “C”. So if you are interested in crafting with other like-minded people, have a skill to share or just like to come along for tea and a chat then we would love to see you.
After Lockdown
10 years on we’re up and running again!
Its ten years since this local group of crafters started meeting. We began meeting at home to make items for Horstead Church Christmas fair but then decided to meet monthly in Coltishall Church Rooms where we have been since then. Like many other clubs and societies our meetings ceased during the recent Covid pandemic but we are up and running again but this time on a new day and in our new venue -Horstead Tithe Barn.
Meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month in Horstead Tithe Barn from 2-4pm. Cost £3
In October, March and July we are holding a longer session from 10-3pm. Cost £5 (please bring your own lunch)
